After several accidents where drivers where discovered to have no liability insurance, Crowley Police conducted an insurance check point on Friday, September 13th.
"With an increased number of uninsured drivers discovered in recent accidents, we decided to run a check point as part of our compliance responsibilities" stated Chief KP Gibson.
In all, 342 vehicles were checked at three locations. Each zone of the city was checked as part of this operation. Northern Ave @ North Ave C, Parkerson Ave @ Spruce Street and Eastern Ave @ East 10th Street were the locations of the check points.

10 citations issued for No Proof of Liability Insurance
3 citations issued for No Driver's License
2 citations for Failure to Secure Registration
1 citation for Speeding
1 citation for Expired MVI
1 citation for No Child Restraint
1 citation for Open Container
