Crouch Named New Morgan City Police Chief

Morgan City has a new police chief. The city council approved the nomination of Travis Crouch as the new top cop. Crouch has been with the department for 22 years. Most recently, Crouch was the lieutenant in charge of detectives and narcotics. Crouch says he wants to get his officers in the community in order to help visibility and relationships with Morgan City residents. Crouch also will begin the process of starting a neighborhood watch program and finding out what problems residents would like to have solved. He replaces recently retired Police Chief Mark Folse.
