Since the death of a drug suspect, tased in in the Marigny Circle Neighborhood of Lafayette Parish, neighbors have complained about being targets of law enforcement.
We did some digging and found out in the past four months alone, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies have worked twelve violent crimes parish-wide- this according to the sheriff's crime-view map.
25-percent of those calls came from Marigny Circle.
The neighborhood is not big- it only takes about two minutes to drive the entire complex; but the stats say this small neighborhood has a lot of crime.
Since june, the Sheriff's Office has recorded six burglaries and a number of assaults, armed robberies and narcotics complaints.
In just the past week, deputies have been called to Marigny Circle twice for gun shots.
A local fire department, three times since Tuesday for dumpsters being set on fire.
