Lafayette police are working an 18-wheeler crash near the intersection of Interstate 10 and Louisiana Avenue.
Police say the 18-wheeler is carrying rubber and does not pose a hazard to the environment. According to officials, crews will have to offload the rubber before the truck can be pulled from the median.
Currently, traffic is not being slowed by the crash. However, traffic will be stopped along the highway once crews are ready to removed the truck from the median.
