SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Shreveport police say a motorcyclist died when his motorcyclist collided with a subcompact car in east Shreveport.
Spokesman Marcus Hines says police will release the man's name after his family is notified. Investigators don't know the cause.
The accident occurred early Sunday on Clyde Fant Parkway at the intersection with Shreveport Barksdale Highway.
He says the 2004 Suzuki motorcycle hit the driver's side of a 2009 Hyundai Accent that was leaving the highway's exit ramp onto Clyde Fant Parkway. The motorcyclist was dead when a rescue crew arrived.
Hines says the car's driver, 24-year-old Janee Clay of Shreveport, was not seriously injured.
