CPSO looking for man in connection with robbery

LAKE CHARLES - The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in locating a man that robbed a discount store at gunpoint.

Authorities say on March 28, at 9:30 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to the Dollar General Store, 5725 Highway 14, in Lake Charles, in reference to an armed robbery.

Deputies say a man entered the store brandishing a handgun and demanded money. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the man fled the store on foot.

The sheriff's office conducted an extensive search of the area but was unable to locate the suspect.  Authorities describe the man as a light skin black man, between 25 and 30 years of age, approximately 5'10", side burns, a thin mustache, and wearing prescription glasses. He was wearing a grey hoodie, black jeans, and black dew rag under a black baseball cap.
