Two Ragley residents are in jail after Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies say they found a meth lab operating in the couple's home.
On Nov. 2, at approximately 9:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 101 Jersey Drive in Ragley in reference to an anonymous tip of a possible methamphetamine lab inside the home.
Upon arrival, deputies say they spoke with Chance W. Burnsworth, 29, and Melissa J. Langley, 43, residents of the home, and during a voluntary search of the home, deputies discovered several chemicals consistent with the creation or operation of a clandestine lab and powered methamphetamine.
Deputies say Burnsworth and Langley were arrested and booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and both charged with creation/operation of a clandestine lab; possession of CDS II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute; possession of CDS II (powered meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Langley was also charged with possession of CDS III (Hydrocodone).
Judge Ronald Ware set Burnsworth bond at $36,000; and set Langley's bond at $32,000.
CPSO Sr. Cpl. Dennis Hanisee and Deputy Mark Rosteet were the arresting deputies.
