CPSO arrests woman for theft from employer

On January 8, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched after receiving a call from the owner of a local business regarding former employee Courtney R. Miller, 30, of Lake Charles, stealing from the company.

During further investigation, detectives discovered Miller used over $950 in company funds to pay numerous personal bills between October and December 2012.
Authorities say when questioned by detectives, Miller confirmed to using the company's funds for personal use without permission from the company.

Miller was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 3 counts of bank fraud; and theft $500--$1,500.

Judge Robert Wyatt set her bond at $4,500.
CPSO Detective John Melton is the lead investigator on this case.
