LAKE CHARLES - La.- A Barbe High School student is charged with terrorizing after leaving an alleged 'hit list' that caused alarm and disruption at school.
Officials say they found the list on March 21. According to authorities, the list contained several names of students and faculty.
Patrick W. Granger, 18, was arrested on March 22 for allegedly creating the 'hit list.' Detectives say they have not found that Granger had any intent or ability to carry out the act.
Police say Granger admitted to writing the 'hit list,' but stated he intended the list to be a prank. Deputies say it was determined that he intentionally left the list to be found. They say the letter caused alarm and disruption at the school, which violates Louisiana law of terrorizing.
Granger is in the Calcasieu Correction Center. His bond is still pending.
