BAKER, La. (AP) - A husband and wife have been accused of breaking the law by selling alcoholic beverages in a restaurant they created inside their home.
Police Chief Mike Knaps says Alteen and William Profit created a makeshift restaurant in their home, complete with seating, a disc jockey booth and a "massive quantity of alcoholic beverages."
The Advocate reports that the Profits were booked Friday on one count each of failing to acquire permits to sell alcohol.
Knaps says the Alcohol Beverage Control Board assisted Baker police in its investigation of the Profits' makeshift restaurant.
