ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - The Rapides Parish Coroner's Office
releases an autopsy report confirming that a 14-year-old's drowning
during a pool party at Alexandria Senior High was accidental.
City Attorney Chuck Johnson said that the Police
Department's investigation of Cornelius Thomas' drowning has been
sent to the Rapides Parish District Attorney's Office. The report
confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol was in the boy's body.
Thomas and his older sister went to a Junior Reserved Officers
Training Corps pool party on May 1. Police searched the school
after Thomas was reported missing. Later, hours after the party
ended, his body was found at the bottom of the pool.
