BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner Dr. Beau Clark says preliminary autopsy results show the 2-month-old infant found dead Tuesday in a puddle of water in Zachary had been badly beaten.

Clark tells The Advocate Prince Javeion Deshaun Brown suffered blunt force trauma to his head and to several of his limbs.

Sheriff's deputies found the infant, the son of 22-year-old Sabrina Maiden and 32-year-old Willie Brown Jr. after searching an area between U.S. 61 and La. Highway 964 for about eight hours.

Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said the couple had a fight Monday morning and family members notified deputies that the infant was missing early Tuesday morning.

Maiden has been booked with first-degree murder and Brown was arrested and booked on various weapon and drug charges.
