KENNER, La. (AP) Kenner police say a teen from Franklinton held up a gas station across the street from a parked patrol car, and confessed after his arrest to an earlier holdup at the same place.
Police say 18-year-old Raymond Joseph Davis allegedly told investigators that he committed the first holdup early Sunday, hours after moving in with an aunt, because he didn't have a job or much money.
Detective Brian McGregor says Davis was arrested early Wednesday. He says that as dispatchers were broadcasting an alert about a holdup at the Shell station, Davis walked past an officer in a parked police car. He says the officer followed, stopped Davis' car, and found a gun and the store's money.
