The appeal hearing for a man convicted of the 2006 murder of a Eunice couple has been reset to the beginning of next year.
A St. Landry Parish Judge pushed back Warren Gautreaux's hearing to February 18. Gautreaux was convicted in May of stabbing Youric and Mary Courville to death in their home. Gautreaux's attorney claims his client did not receive a fair trial because he could not cross-examine two witnesses who allegedly committed perjury.
The judge also threw out a supplemental motion to have prosecutors find a witness that the defense said could support the motion for a re-trial.
