South Louisiana Community College is offering evening welding and machine tool courses beginning in September through its Continuing Education program.
The 10-week machine tool course will start Sept. 15 and end Nov. 18. Classes will be held Mondays and Tuesdays from 6 - 9 p.m. at SLCC's Teche Area campus in New Iberia.
Sandy Bernis will be the instructor. Cost is $462 and must be paid by Sept. 9.
Two 10-week welding courses are also starting in September. In New Iberia, classes start Sept. 15 and end Nov. 18 and are held Mondays and Tuesdays from 6 - 9 p.m.
Tommy Smith is the instructor. Cost is $469 and must be paid by Sept. 9.
In Lafayette, the welding course will be taught at the Ardoin building from Sept. 9 to Nov. 13 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 - 8 p.m. Glenn McCauley will be the instructor. Cost is $430 and must be paid by Sept. 2.
