Congressman to address BPCC graduates

BENTON, La. (AP) - Republican Congressmen Bill Cassidy will deliver the spring commencement address to graduates of the Bossier Parish Community College.

Friday's ceremony will be at the college in the Health and Physical Education Complex in Bossier City. The address will begin at 9:30 a.m. CDT.

Officials say Cassidy is expected to discuss the importance of education in today's job market

Cassidy, a physician, has represented the state's 6th Congressional District since 2009. The district includes Baton Rouge, its suburbs and the western half of the Florida Parishes as well as parts of Acadiana, west and south of Baton Rouge.
