Counselors at the Acadiana Addiction Center say they are concerned about the growing number of patients seeking help for the effects of synthetic marijuana. The products, which are considered an alternative to marijuana, contain dried, shredded plant material and chemical additives. Synthetic marijuana can cause psychosis, seizures, heart attack, paralysis and kidney failure. Today at 6, KATC's Ashlea Bullington, talks to a recovering addict who says he found out just how addictive synthetic marijuana is.
