About 50 community leaders gathered at Northside High Monday afternoon to talk about Lafayette Parish Schools, specifically to generate support for Superintendent Pat Cooper and his turnaround plan. Northside Principal Melinda Voorhies said she organized the rally, saying she thinks the turnaround plan has been effective and needs to continue. She's asking for people to show their support at the school board meeting this week. KATC's Steven Albritton will have more tonight at 10:00.
