BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is closing the commercial fishing season for large coastal sharks in state waters Sunday night.
The season closes at 11:30 p.m.
Officials say the National Marine Fisheries Service also will close the federal waters of the Gulf of Mexico for large coastal sharks at the same time.
No date has been set for the next reopening.
