The cold front that had been promised all week, arrived and left with very little fanfare as was expected. Acadiana picked up 0.70" of rain fall as the front passed during the early morning hours of Saturday.
Even after the front passed a few stubborn spots of drizzle lingered deep into the evening, but by the time Sunday arrives it will be long forgotten. Clear skies will finally replace the clouds we've seen for the passed few days, and this time the sun will stay for a few days.
Temperatures will be drastically colder to wrap up the weekend, expect the highs on Sunday to barely crack into the 50s, while the lows will hover a few degrees above freezing. Wind chills on Saturday night/Sunday morning will range in the low 30s to upper 20s so be sure to bundle up.
Those of you who have some last minute shopping to take care of the beginning of the week will be the best time, as the weather looks to get unsettled for the New Orleans Bowl.
