COCODRIE, La. (AP) - The Coast Guard has rescued four people from a 47-foot towing vessel that ran aground in Terrebonne Bay, about 12 miles south of Cocodrie. The Coast Guard received a call about 3:30 p.m. Sunday from a crew member aboard the vessel, Captain Monk. The crew member said
they had run aground and the bow of the vessel was taking on waves causing the hull to flood.
Officials launched a rescue helicopter and crew from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans to the scene. The helicopter crew hoisted the four uninjured people and transported them to the Houma-Terrebonne Airport in Houma.
