NEW ORLEANS (AP) Rain sprinkled the Fair Grounds Race Course on the closing day of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
But the weather didn't keep the fans away Sunday. Some fans wore rain boots and panchos. Others went barefoot. All came prepared for the mud and puddles that form when Mother Nature takes hold.
Performances by some of New Orleans' best are on tap, including Irma Thomas, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Juvenile and DJ Mannie Fresh, Ellis Marsalis and The Neville Brothers, who traditionally close out the festival's largest stage.
Also closing out the day are B.B. King, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, The Radiators, the Wayne Shorter Quartet and Richie Havens.
