Closures - Flash Flooding


La. 95 is closed in Evangeline Parish, from La. 758 to La. 29, due to high water. The detour consists of La. 95 to La. 758 to La. 29 to La. 95.

La. 91 at Estherwood Pontoon in Acadia Parish is still closed due to high water. Signage is in place to alert motorists. The detour will consist of I-10, La. 13 and U.S. 90.


High Water
La. 317, in St. Mary Parish, from the beginning of La. 317 near the coast to Scott Lane is open to traffic, but is still impacted by high water. Signage is in place to alert motorists.


The Department regrets the inconvenience caused to the traveling public.

Iberia

Iberia Parish Government would like to announce the immediate closures of Railroad Road between Lee Station Road, and Longside Road and at the intersections of Poufette and Leleux Roads on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 until further notice. This closure was necessary due to the high water and the unsafe conditions of the road. Iberia Parish Government apologizes for any inconvenience that this closure may cause, but the safety and well being of all residents of Iberia Parish and the surrounding communities are of their utmost importance.

DOTD is working to repair roads damaged by high waters and monitoring other areas. Please proceed with caution through areas recently inundated with water.

To report water or debris on state roads and right-of-ways throughout Acadiana, the public can contact the DOTD District 03 office at 337-262-6100.

Citizens can get the latest updates on real-time traffic and road conditions by using the 511 Traveler Information System simply by dialing 511 from their telephone and saying the route or region about which they are seeking information. Out-of-state travelers can call 1-888-ROAD-511 (1-888-762-3511). Travelers can also access this information by visiting the 511 Traveler Information Web site at www.511la.org.

Motorists can also obtain information regarding road closures by contacting DOTD's Customer Service Center at 1-877-4LA-DOTD (1-877-452-3683). The center is open 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
