Civilian Body Found in St. Mary Parish Shooting

A civilian was found deceased during the investigation in St. Mary Parish. Troopers say the male victim was shot, but they don't know if he died as a result of the shooting or the fire. His body was found after the fire was put out.
48-year-old Wilbert Thibodeaux is in custody and facing charges in connection with the shootings. Thibodeaux is injured from a gunshot wound to his upper torso, but troopers are not saying who fired that shot at this time. He is out of the hospital and in State Police custody.
The case remains under investigation.
