City-Parish Council Moves Forward With Courthouse Demolition

The Lafayette City-Parish Council is getting closer to finalizing plans to demolish the old federal courthouse downtown.
The council voted to give President Joey Durel the authority to approve requests for access to the property.
This is one of the first steps needed for the environmental studies and assessments required for demolition.
