Cirque Du Soleil Michael Jackson Immortal has been traveling around the world for three years. It has covered four continents, twenty-seven countries, over 150 cities and will reach 460 shows while in Lafayette on July 29th and 30th. This amount of travel would take a toll on anyone, especially the crew members of the Michael Jackson Immortal tour. Many of them have been on the tour since day one, which was three years ago.
"You miss important events that you would normally be at: holidays, anniversaries, family events. It is hard to do something like this," Publicist, Laura Silverman told KATC, "but it has brought all of the members of the crew together as a family. We do almost everything together."
The crew consist of 130 members that includes everything from, wardrobe, performers and production. Dancer, Melena Rounis, said "We are #ImmortalFamily. I have never worked with such a talented group of performers that vibe so well together."
The cast and crew of the show consider themselves all to be an impromptu out of the ordinary family and as they are traveling on the last leg of the Immortal tour they look back on all the fond memories they have accumulated over the years. "We have traveled to Asia, America, Europe and South America, with the same smiles on our face that we had on day one," Vincent Daplanche, a free run acrobat, said.
On this final leg the tour goes to Oklahoma City, Dallas, Lafayette, Cedar Park, Houston, Mexico City and Guadalajara.
