Circle K Robbery in Lafayette

Officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to the "Circle K" 1803 Eraste Landry Road regarding an armed robbery. According to the clerk, the suspect entered the business at 1:30 a.m. August 16th and demanded the money from the register. The suspect was armed with a handgun and was able to take an undisclosed amount of cash and one carton of Kool cigarettes. The suspect was last seen running south on Foreman Drive. The clerk was not injured during the ordeal.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 20's, 5'6" tall, thin build with a mustache. He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt and jeans at the time of the robbery. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
