The Christian Youth Theatre presents "Tarzan," a production for the entire family. The play will run from Thursday, January 30, 2014 to Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Angelle Auditorium on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, 601 East St. Mary Boulevard, Lafayette, LA. Tickets will be on sale November 15, 2013 at www.cytlafayette.org. The production times are as follows:
Thursday, January 30 - 7:00 PM
Friday, January 31 - 11:30 AM, 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM
Saturday, February 1 - 3:00 PM, 7:00 PM
Sunday, February 2 - 2:00 PM
The production is based on Tarzan: The Musical; book by David Henry Hwang and music and lyrics by Phil Collins. The source material for the original story is based on Edgar Rice Borrough's Tarzan of the Apes and the hit Disney film, Tarzan, both of which tell the story of a young boy who is raised by apes on the shores of West Africa. The Youth Theater's "Tarzan" is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MIT).
