Chris Paulsen serves as the Weekend Meteorologist for KATC-TV3, Acadiana's News-Channel. In addition, you can watch his weather and environmental reports during the week in 5:00, 6:00, & 10:00 newscasts. Chris was named KATC TV3 Weekend Meteorologist and then, Good Morning Acadiana's weather anchor. In 2000, Chris moved to Miami to serve as WFOR CBS4's Weekend Meteorologist and later the morning and noon weather anchor. Chris took full advantage of his neighbors, the National Hurricane Center, to gain all experience possible forecasting tropical storms.
You may remember from Good Morning Acadiana, Chris' second passion for plants. In 2005, he designed and built a 75,000 square foot greenhouse production facility. The Greenhouse maintained and developed 127 different varieties of plants that were grown to produce clones. This was done by taking cuttings off the stock plants and rooted in special trays. After plants matured and were strong enough for transplant the plants were shipped to his customers for finishing.

"There is no other place like Acadiana that brings the outdoor to life and with so much energy", Chris says. Now home,Chris Paulsen enjoys cycling, fishing and gardening.

WOW!!! A Blast from the past.  "Back in the day" when ULL had a different middle initial, I remember taking a communication class with Chris.  I think we may have even worked on a group project at one time.  Imagine my surprise when I turn on the news and see Chris Paulsen on the screen!  Welcome home Chris!

Chris - Welcome aboart the best news team in the entire southern United States. You, Dave, & Rob complement each other very nicely. You deliver the weather with a style and warmth that makes the viewer totally at ease with your forcasting ability. The three of you talk to the viewer like you are interested in letting the viewers know what is happening, what to expect, and like we are old friends. The thing that the three of you have over your competition is that you seem to care about us and our well being, not just up there going through a daily ritual. I hope that you have a long and rewarding career at TV-3.

    Once again welcome aboard.

Ivan Viator - St. Martinville, La.

I see all the good comments on this guy, but just watched the weather tonight and thought he was really creepy.  He stumbled over his words to where I wondered if he was on something.  Very creepy indeed.
