It is going to be a chilly night as we all get ready to start the weekend, with lows approaching record values overnight Friday. The current low for Friday night in Lafayette is 40 degrees which is the direction we will be headed. This cool air is all in the wake of the cold front that passed through on Thursday.
The chillier weather will be accompanied with clear skies, which will allow highs to warm up into the low and mid 70s Saturday afternoon. The high pressure that is guiding the current pattern will be in place through the course of the weekend so the sunshine isn't going anywhere.
Clouds will be slow to return but early indications point towards another quick moving system bringing a little bit of rain for the middle of the work week.
