Opelousas will soon have a clinic for children suffering from depression, anger, and other mental issues.
Natasha Deville is brining a branch of the New Orleans Center for Hope and Change to her hometown. The new location will be on Bellevue Street near the parish courthouse.
Deville, a 2001 graduate of Opelousas High School, says she worked at the organization's Marksville clinic and felt that the children of the city could benefit from the clinic's services.
Deville adds that the clinic will be working with two non-profit agencies in town to help provide mentoring and psychological therapy to patients.
The clinic, which is available for children aged 5 through 17, opens on April 1.
