Ray Clement, the regional manager for the Department of Environmental Quality says they've been using monitors to detect volatile organic compounds.
Methanol, toluene and xylene are some of the major chemicals they've been searching for because those are some of the main products Multi-Chem sells.
These chemicals could be harmful if a massive amount is in the air.
However, so far only small quantities of these chemicals were detected..
"Everything has been negative. In fact, all of the monitoring that we have accomplished as far as the perimeter monitoring around the sites have been negative except for some minor hits in closed places like drainage and pipes that lead from the site,"said Clement.
