A change-of-plea hearing has been set for a Greek shipping magnate who remained a fugitive for more than a decade after his indictment in New Orleans on tax-related charges.
The hearing was set for Wednesday morning for 77-year-old Lucas Ktistakis.
Ktistakis was arrested in Germany in February and fought his extradition for six months before he was returned to the U.S. He pleaded not guilty last month to charges that he and his wife diverted company money to buy cars and real estate without reporting it as income to the Internal Revenue Service.
