Chackbay gears up for Gumbo Festival

CHACKBAY, La. (AP) - The annual Chackbay Louisiana Gumbo Festival is set for Oct. 12-14 at the Chackbay Fairgrounds on Louisiana Highway 304.
The Courier reports admission to the 41st annual festival is free.
The fair includes rides, an auction, Cajun food, a parade, a 5K run and walk, music, dancing and a gumbo cook-off.
