The Center for Louisiana Studies proudly announces its newly appointed CLS Fellows:
· Dr. Barry Ancelet, Dept. of Modern Languages, UL Lafayette
· Dr. Joshua Caffery, Folklorist and English Dept., Episcopal School of Acadiana
· Dr. Paula Carson, Institutional Planning and Effectiveness/BI Moody III College of Business Administration, UL Lafayette
· Dr. Tommy Michot, Institute of Coastal Ecology and Engineering, UL Lafayette
· Dr. John Troutman, Dept. of History, Geography and Philosophy, UL Lafayette
These Fellows are named in recognition of their commitments to research, teaching and promotion of the various fields that make up Louisiana Studies. The Fellows program is designed to reflect and encourage the interdisciplinary collaboration that is inherent to Louisiana Studies. These Fellows serve five-year terms during which time they will work closely with CLS staff on research projects, participate in and advise on center projects and publications, and contribute to the growth of the center's archival collections.
These newly appointed CLS Fellows will continue the Center for Louisiana Studies' tradition of research, preservation and promotion of Louisiana's rich history, cultures and peoples.
