Cause of Death for Man Found in Lafayette Field

Five days after a man's body was found in a Lafayette field, authorities have finished an autopsy and determined the man died of Natural Causes.
As a result, detectives with the Lafayette Police Department have ruled out foul play. Detectives are currently attempting to locate the next of kin for the deceased.
The body was found at 3:30 pm in the 500 block of South Pierce Street. A man was cleaning a nearby yard when he observed a decomposed body lying in tall grass on a vacant lot.
