A 39-year-old Carencro man is accused of ordering iPhones through his employer and reselling the mobile phones online.
According to a news release, Scott Police Department received a complaint from a business that noticed their cellular expenses had increased significantly. The employer accused Scott Brian Gurzynski.
According to police, 120 iPhones were obtained by Gurzynski and sold through a free on-line classified sales list.
A warrant was issued for Gurzynski and upon being notified of the warrant he turned himself in to Scott Police. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on theft (valued at $34,691.00).
Gurzynski admitted he was ordering the phones under false pretenses and selling them online, said police.
