Carencro Man accused of hitting child in face

A Carencro man is charged with cruelty to a juvenile. Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies arrested Clifford Scott for allegedly hitting a 13-year-old boy in the face. The boy is a relative of Scott's and Scott was intoxicated when he struck and knocked the child to the ground, according Capt. Kip Judice. "Scott denied the allegation, but there were witnesses. The child is fine," said Judice.
