Carencro High feeds off the academic and behavorial excellence of its students,...literally.
Carencro High School Asst. Principal John Crutchfield announced today that the school will recognize 115 students for their exceptional achievements during the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year with a couple of honorary student breakfasts.
According to a release from Principal Ken Roebuck, the first breakfast will be served Friday at 7:15AM. The school will recognize the accomplishments of 40 students who achieved a 4.0 GPA during the first semester of the school year. During the Friday morning meal, the school administration will reward these exemplary students with gift cards to their favorite restaurants, t-shirts, and the privilege of wearing jeans for the remainder of the school year.
Another breakfast will take place on Monday, Feb.17, at 7:15AM also in the school's cafeteria, this time to reward the most improved students and to recognize them as "Growing Bears." This Growing Bears Student Breakfast will acknowledge the efforts of 75 students who were nominated by their teachers for their improvement academically and/or behaviorally during the first semester. These particular students worked especially hard to improve and achieve the high expectations set for them by teachers and staff at Carencro High.
No details have been announced on the menus for either breakfast yet, but whatever the school plans to serve, we can rest assured that it will be considered "brain food."
