Carencro Drug Bust Leads to Two Arrests

Two people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop by the Carencro Police Department on Veterans Drive. Police say they recovered approximately 132 grams of suspected marijuana along with measuring scales and $975.00 in cash.
“I commend the officers for being alert and proactive in preventing these drugs from hitting the streets in Carencro” says Police Chief Carlos Stout.
ARRESTED:
Merlin Livings B/M 26 years of age- 300 Block Richard Street Sunset, La. – Possession with intent to distribute marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Monies Derived from Drug Proceeds
Jolen Henry B/M 27 years of age- 400 Block Dulles Drive Lafayette, LA. - Possession with intent to distribute marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Monies Derived from Drug Proceeds
