Campus Edge Fire

The Lafayette Fire Department is investigating a fire in the 1400 Block of North Bertrand Drive.

The fire broke out around 11:30 Sunday morning at Campus Edge Apartments. Witnesses say they saw lots of smoke and heard the fire alarm going off, and immediately called 911.

Fire investigators are unsure how the fire started, but they say that damage was minimal and only a balcony was damaged.
