LAFAYETTE - Camp Bon Coeur will host its first weekend camp and conference for adults who were born with a congenital heart defect in October.
Scheduled for October 17-19, the conference will be held at the Acadian Baptist Center in Eunice for adults, 18 years and older who were born with a congenital heart defect and their spouses/significant others.
Participants are invited to partake in activities, such as archery, making campfires, and eating s'mores. Camp speakers will share their experiences and expertise on a range of topics including adults living with congenital heart defects, insurance and more.

Camp Bon Coeur was created in 1985 to give children with congenital heart defects a traditional two-week summer camp experience to meet other kids from across the country that also bear the scars of growing up with a heart defect.
