CAMERON, La. (AP) - Cameron Parish officials say a New Orleans-based company's cost estimate on a proposed study to determine whether the parish should spend $4 million to build 70 single-family rental homes must be compared with similar studies throughout the state.
Parish Administrator Tina Horn tells the American Press (http://bit.ly/qjfACs ) the proposal by Spark InSites will be compared with studies from other parishes. Spark InSites said the service would cost $22,500, with the parish paying for the first half once the contract is finalized, and the rest being paid once the final plan is presented to the parish.
Horn said she has to get other price comparisons based on guidelines set by the state Office of Community Development.
