LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Calcasieu Parish has upgraded its Geographic Information Systems online mapping application, providing users with the ability to learn more about property values and taxing districts.
Oneil Hebert, manager for the parish's GIS department, said the upgrades will make using the system more efficient and faster.
Hebert says that people can use the system to query the Louisiana Tax Commission database and find out property values. He said people can also search for the different school and taxing districts within the parish.
