The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office arrest three suspects in is looking for a suspect in connection with two burglaries.
On July 30, deputies were called to a burglary in a Westlake bar. The investigation revealed that three men, Sedric L. Green, 20 years old, David D. Johnson, Jr., 21 years old, and Travis Lafleur, 23 years old, pried open the front door of the bar to gain entry and once inside broke open the ATM machine, stealing over $2,000 cash.
On August 6, deputies responded to a report of an attempted burglary at a Sulphur pawn shop. Video surveillance captured three subjects, later identified as Green, Johnson Jr., and Bryan K. John, 21 years old, cutting the power and phone lines to the business and attempting to gain entry.
After further investigation, Green and Lafleur were arrested in connection with the Westlake bar burglary and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with simple burglary, theft over $1,500, and criminal damage to property. Green is also charged with an additional count of simple criminal damage of property and simple burglary in connection with the attempted burglary of the Sulphur pawn shop.
Deputies also arrested John in connection with the attempted burglary of the Sulphur pawn shop. He was booked and charged with attempted simple burglary and simple criminal damage to property.
Green's bond is set at $6,000; and Lafleur and John's at $3,000.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is asking the public for assistance in locating Johnson, Jr. If anyone knows of his whereabouts, please call the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office at 491-3605.
