Calcasieu Parish seat belt checkpoint results

Lake Charles - On Thursday, December 8, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office conducted a seatbelt checkpoint at the 6500 block of Hwy 3059 in LeBleu Settlement. As a result of the checkpoint, deputies checked 592 vehicles and issued 29 citations.
Citations were given as follow:
No seatbelt - 8
No motor vehicle inspection - 1
Open container - 3
No driver's license - 1
Illegal window tint - 2
Driving under suspension - 2
Expired license plate - 1
Expired motor vehicle inspection - 5
No child restraint - 6
The following person was arrested for DWI:
Ernest J. Langley, 31, 576 High Hope Road, Sulphur
