Calcasieu Parish Deputies Arrest Man Accused of Failing to Register as a Sex Offender

A Moss Bluff man is arrested for failing to register as a sex offender for the second time. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Compliance and Awareness Program Unit (CAP) arrested 48 year old convicted sex offender Joseph G. Chamberlain, after deputies say an investigation revealed he had moved without notifying the proper authorities within three days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Chamberlain, who was convicted of forcible rape in April 1988 and also convicted of failure to register as a sex offender in September 2010, all in Calcasieu Parish, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. His bond is still pending.
