BATON ROUGE, La. - The Ragin' Cajuns golf team will look to bounce back this weekend as Louisiana heads to the David Toms Intercollegiate hosted by LSU at the University Club.

"We are very excited to get back in the saddle of competition this week," head coach Theo Sliman said. "The guys are hungry and very determined. The key for playing this week, basically at home with us playing in state, is going to be for us to channel our determination with patience. This is a very big golf course that will expose and test your skill set. Our expectations are simple each and every week. We need to focus on sticking to our process, play with inner patience and win the last six holes of every round."
The field includes three teams ranked in the top 25, Houston (14), host LSU (18) and Iowa State (25). Coastal Carolina, Kennesaw State, Lamar, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, Rice , South Alabama and Southeastern Louisiana round out the teams participating at the David Toms Intercollegiate.
For the third straight week the Cajuns will go with a lineup of all underclassmen led by freshman Fernando Cruz Valle who ranks third in the Sun Belt in scoring average (70.60).
