Cajundome Turns 25 Today!

Today, the Cajundome celebrates 25 years. As part of the silver anniversary, Elton John will perform tonight.
Kenny Rogers was the first concert at the dome on November 11, 1985. Since then, the facility has hosted concerts, basketball tournaments, numerous trade shows, even Katrina evacuees. The Cajundome and Convention Center has welcomed more than 14 million visitors in its 25 years.
The Cajundome is celebrating by giving away three prizes. The contest runs from November 10 through November 12 at noon. The prizes include a Saints Tailgate package... golf, barbeque and wine package and a $5,000 travel voucher. To enter, text "25 Years" to 74455.
