Caddo deputies detain driver rescued from lake

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Caddo sheriff's deputies have detained a man believed to have driven himself and a female passenger into Cross Lake.
The vehicle careened off of a road into the lake Wednesday night.
The vehicle was fully submerged when deputies arrived, and both occupants were still inside.
The Times reports a deputy waded into the water and was able to extricate the driver and the woman.
